Page 1 of 2Next

I installed this forum in one of my pages on my blog. When I see visitor stats it shows my forum name not the forum post title in the referrer link. How to make them seo friendly? Please help me.

I want to change the permalink of the forum to be seo friendly and not some code. please help me

Hello,

referrer-links should work fine, at least I got them displayed correctly in Google Analytics. SEO-friendly URLs are on my todo-list, but not implemented yet because of some limitations in WordPress core.

SEO friendly links would be a great enhancement right only the main forum link track for search engines. Pretty link with slugs derived from topic titles would go a long way to enhancing SEO for this forum plugin making a good plugin even better

Hello natchoice,

topics are tracked by search engines as well as you can see here for this site:

https://www.google.de/search?q=site%3Aasgaros.de%2Fsupport

Slugs get already created internally for topics and forums but as long as I cant find a nice way to get SEO-friendly URLs working when using the forum on the front-page without breaking the site, this has to wait a little bit. Any development-help is welcome here. 🙂

Same here also only base url mysite.com/discussions is shown in search engine

I also have launched online forum and it needs online marketing and some SEO fixes as well. So this post will be quite useful for me. Even I want to run the Adwords Management campaign as well. If anyone here knows about best online tutorials for learning Adwords, please let me know.

Actually working correct now

Hi,

this is also a big wishlist item for me: SEO friendly URLs. I assume, that if implemented and activated, the old “ugly” URLs would automatically be forwarded to the new SEO friendly URL?

All the best,

Matt

Yes, I plan to make it backwards-compatible so that existing links still work.
