I was a big tapatalk user back in the day, and was also disappointed how it went downhill. Nowadays I am reasonably satisfied with using Hermit to create lite apps for the forums I regularly browse. Not an exact replacement, but works well enough for the most part.

You can try using Forum Runner or Discourse Hub, both of which support forums and should work well with Asgaros. Alternatively, you can consider developing a custom app if you need special functionality.
