I was a big tapatalk user back in the day, and was also disappointed how it went downhill. Nowadays I am reasonably satisfied with using Hermit to create lite apps for the forums I regularly browse. Not an exact replacement, but works well enough for the most part.

Unfortunately, Asgaros Forum does not have direct support for apps like Tapatalk due to its lightweight and self-contained nature.
