You need to log in to create posts and topics
Quote from andy1966 on February 5, 2018, 12:41 pmI’ve installed the plugin using the default settings. I created two forums in a single category.
Category is set to Access: Everyone.
When I visit the forum logged into my Dashboard, it shows correctly. If I log out, I just get a message saying “You need to log in to create posts and topics.”, and “There are no categories yet!”.
I guess I am doing something wrong, but cannot work out what. I have disabled all other plugins and tried a different theme. Same result.
Anyone got any ideas?

Quote from andy1966 on February 5, 2018, 12:44 pmOK, quick update. I created a second category and added a single forum. It now does appear properly when I am logged out.
Could this be a bug relating to needing more than one category?

Quote from Asgaros on February 5, 2018, 8:14 pmHello andy1966,
can you check the access-settings for your first category again? Also ensure that you have not assigned an user-group to this category because otherwise it will be not visible to guests.

As a test, I deleted the second category and the forum still shows OK now. I am going to delete the plugin altogether, reinstall and see if it works properly now, or whether I have the same issue. Will update.

I have done this 2 x (twice) now – www.vatikaki4x4.co.za/forum
I am still not able to add topics as a user
Is there a hidden setting? I have created all the items I would like in the forum but no-one is able to add their comments/create topics etc…

Can you add new topics as an administrator on your site? I tried to register an account on your website for testing purposes but it is not working. I always get an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error.
