Yet another feature request
Quote from Gespanne on September 30, 2018, 10:31 pmNow that our forum is up and gaining speed, our users are asking for two additional things. When a vertical picture is added to a post it is displayed on it’s side in the post although it is properly vertical when it’s clicked on and enlarged. Can vertical pix be displayed vertically in the post? In addition, our users are used to being able to directly upload their avatars. They ask why they must go through Gravatar. Is that required? Are we missing an existing direct upload path?
Thanks so much for the great plugin. ‘Hope you’re having a great time in Asia.

To add real avatar-uploads to your backend-profiles, I suggest you to use the following WordPress extension which is working fine in combination with Asgaros Forum:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-avatars/
Regarding the image-issue: This is usually some kind of meta-data issue in the image-file itself because Asgaros Forum does not rotate any images. Can you leave me a direct-link to a post with this problem so I can have a look into it?

I’ll try the user avatar plug in, thanks. Here are a couple of examples of the picture rotation issue…

Quote from Asgaros on October 1, 2018, 6:32 amYes, this is definitely a capture-issue where some file-headers are set wrong by the camera or another photo editing tool. This is not caused by the plugin and also cannot get fixed/detected by it because its impossible for me to say if it should be shown vertically or no. You can read more about this issue here:
