Weird posting behavior reported

This is bizarre. One of my users was composing a post and noticed that one of the words had turned blue. He clicked it and it was a live link hat took him to an ad. Any ideas how this might be possible? I hesitate to call him a liar but I can’t imagine any way for this to happen. When it posted, it turned back to black and was no longer a link.

It can be possible that he copied some text from another website/resource which contained a link. In this case the link automatically gets copied as well.

Another possibility is that your site has some ad-code or the user is using a plugin in his browser which adds some ad-code to certain words.
