User Does Not Exist

“I registered, set up a password, but when I try to log in it says User does not exist.” Why would this happen? What can we do? This is one of my admin. Let’s assume she’s typing things in correctly. She’s tried multiple times, different browsers, devices. She got a confirmation email about registering. If she tries to register again, it says she already has an account.

Hey @all-in-one-homeschool,

did you check if the user is created in the backend of your site? And what happens if you create a new user manually in the backend? Are they able to login in?

You can use this Plugin:

https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

to check your website for common problems, wich may help you.

Yes, the user shows up on my end. She just can’t log in from her end. I guess we can’t use this. If one of the ten admin can’t get in, that equates to 10,000 of our users!

Asgaros Forum is using the registration and login directly from WordPress, we don’t have an own registration/login process. Since you are using WordPress.com to manage your website you need at least the business plan to install custom plugins. To allow users to register and login you will need a separate membership plugin besides Asgaros Forum:

https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/allow-user-registration-option-missing/

Which membership plugin are you currently using to allow users to register and login?
