Hello everyone,

after seeing that a lot of users have problems with coding, I created a plugin with some functions to customize Asgaros Forum from the WordPress admin area.

Right now, it has only a few functions but I’m planning to add some more features. Just let me know what you need or would like.

Toolbox for Asgaros Forum

Description

Use Toolbox for Asgaros Forum to customize your Forum without the struggle to write some code. You can easily create
some custom menu entries or change the URL to the User Profile.

FEATURES

Add custom menu entries at the forum menu
Customize the Asgaros Forum URLs (e.g. Member List, Profile)
Shortcodes to integrate Asgaros Forum Profile in the ultimate Member Profile
Create a custom tab at the ultimate member profile for the forum history
Allow users to upload images inside a post
Subscribe Users automatically to their own topics and posts

Installation

Install the plugin
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
Go to “Toolbox-for-Asgaros-Forum” and select the tools that you want to use. The menu entries will appear after
activating the tools.

Toolbox for Asgaros Forum is available at wordpress.org. Just search it from your admin area or go directly to https://wordpress.org/plugins/toolbox-for-asgaros-forum/

There is also a documentation on the plugin website: https://www.toolboxforasgaros.com/documentation/

With the new update of Toolbox for Asgaros Forum comes a new feature to upload images directly form the editor into the post.

And that’s how to use it:

Press the “insert/edit image” button
Click one the file browser button
Select an image and upload it
Now you can use the image within the editor

Enjoy the new feature and let me know if you need help with it.

@preditorslingshots maybe that’s a useful feature for you?

Please could you look at an activity shortcode that can be filtered by specific/multiple forums?

Brilliant plugin, it really is!!

I’m wondering if new forum posts and replies can be included in the UM notifications bell?

do you use the real time notification extension for UM? I cant find any other notification in UM.

Hi @qualmy91 – yes, that’s the one. It’s brilliant but would be awesome if it could improve include the Asgaros forum notifications. New topics, replies to subscribed posts, mentions etc

I put this on my list to add to my plugin, but it would be impossible to do that without access to the extension for UM.
