Recent posts widget when extending the forum-shortcode with additional parameters
Quote from ukbestrong on August 25, 2020, 6:22 pmHi all and @asgaros
I use Asgaros on my website as follows: –
Forum Home Page as Specified in Asgaros Settings
[forum category="288,289"]
Page B
[forum category="314"]
When I add a Recent Posts widget and include category 314, the posts in this category display just fine in the widget, but the links don’t work as they’re redirecting to the URL of the forum page specified in the settings.
Is there a workaround?
Brilliant plugin 🙂

Yes, this is a known bug which is caused by the defined main-instance in the setting. If you use that kind of widget only once on your website, you can try to change the forum-location to the page you want to link to.

Thanks so much for clarifying. Ive just added the category in the main forum page too, which is kinda a workaround as at least the links take them somewhere 🙂
