Hi all,

I had a couple of reports that WordPress has difficulties to send notifications to the site-owner if they are using a mail-domain which is not the same one as the one used for the WordPress installation. Can you give it a try by using a mail using the same domain-name?

I’ve tested with a domain based admin email and the result is the same. No notification for the admin but notifications ok for the other users.

Note : I use several other plugins and they send Wordpress admin mails with gmail adresses with no problem. I believe this isn’t a Wordpress issue.

Are some of those plugins related to the mail-functionality? Asgaros Forum does not use its own mailing-logic, instead it sends all mails by using the default wp_mail() function which comes with WordPress.

Yes, I’ve disabled both of the other plugins… still not working

I ceased getting notifications of any kind (new Blog Posts, Comments on blog posts or anything from my Asgaros Forum) by email starting from between July 28 (last one) and Aug 6 (the first Comment notice not found in my email). It’s a pretty quiet site  and maybe I deleted some notifications so I can’t narrow down a date when notifications stopped. I discovered on the dashboard today that there was an unapproved post comment dated Sep 23 that I have no recollection of seeing before and it is not in my email.

I’m unaware of any other plugins using mail but iirc, I installed Akismet Anti-Spam in the late summer. I can find no settings in it having to do with mail.

Another piece to the puzzle. The email notifications are sent from  via srv174.main-hosting.eu. My WP site is hosted by Hostinger.com. Is it possible that the loss of notifications is their fault?

And I’ve narrowed down when notifications of all types ended to Aug 9 or 10. The 9th was the last “New User Registration” notice but the database table wp_users.user_registered1 shows more users having registered from Aug 10 on. The admin email account shows no notices for the 72 who have registered since.
