New forum – couple of queries
Quote from mmcalinden on October 18, 2019, 3:16 pmHello all,
Apologies if my queries are basic, I’m new to plugins. I recently created a forum for my workplace website which I hope to go live in the next week or so, attached is a grab from the main page. I haven’t signposted the forum from the navigation while I work on it in the background.
There’s one category (General) and 2 forums beneath this. I’m logged in with my manager’s admin password but I don’t see an option to post and when I click into either of the forums, I get a url containing the sub-forum name but it’s just a blank pageĀ (with the regular website banner imagery, footers etc) with the title FORUM. Anyone able to help?
Thanks,
Martin

The attached screenshot looks like that some of the resources could not get loaded correctly. Please ensure that the forum-location in the settings is set to the page which contains your forum-shortcode.

The shortcode is on the right page but perhaps I’ve added it incorrectly?

Actually this seems to be not the usually content-area of WordPress but some kind of content-block instead which maybe got added by a plugin. Are you using any custom plugins which replaces the default WordPress content-editor?

This is my first time working with this website but I had a look and there are currently 22 other active plugins besides Asgaros, see below.
Not sure if you can spot a likely culprit? Maybe Classic Editor?
Thanks,
Martin

Those inputs seem to come from Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) but usually those fields are added by other components and ACF is only used for it as a source. In your case its possible that your theme is making this modifications in case you are using one of those big theme-solutions from a popular theme-provider (they often add a lot of side-functionality to your site).
