How to remove one level of URL for topics and categories?
Quote from marc0007 on June 23, 2021, 6:01 pmHi,
First of all I’d like to say a big thank you for what you’ve done. You’re plugin is awesome and I’ll definitely buy you a cup of coffee if can get it to work:
I was wondering if there was a functionality to remove one level of slug/url in the permalink since it’s definitely better for SEO juice flow, crawl budget and much more.
I know bbpress does it with (see attached image).
To illustrate what I mean, I currently have bbpress installed on my site and the permalinks of topics and categories are like this:
myforum.com/forum/category-1/
myforum.com/topic/this-is-a-topic/
With Asgaros, I can only have this permalink structure:
myforum.com/forums/forum/category-1/
myforum.com/forums/topic/this-is-a-topic/
Is there any way to setup permalinks like in the first example?
Just add on this, my domain name contain the word ”forum” so the [forum] shortcode is on the home page. Yet, there is really no point in rename the double /forums/forum/ with /discussions/forum/ etc. What I’d like is to cut down a level of depth of URLs so to speak. Like this:
myforum.com/topic/this-is-a-topic/
Thanks in advance,
Marc
