Forced emails

Hi,

I like know how I can force the forum send an email to all members from a certain forum even if the member has not subscriped? The forum is for important messages.

Hello @mirja

Forced messages are currently not possible because of strict data-privacy and notification-laws in certain regions. If you need such kind of functionality I suggest you to use a newsletter-plugin.

Hi @asgaros,

I tried a newsletter but I must subscribe it before I will get any newsletters. It’s the same if I subscribe the discussion area or discussion chain from the forum. The problem is that I want to send the information even if the member has or has not subsciped the information. This is only for very important issues.

Hi @asparos,

I attached Newsletter plug and now I have with my admin friend try to make our home page to work. It mess everything up. Don’t ever use it!

Yes, newsletter-plugins have the same problem as the one I mentioned already related to subscriptions. Because of strict data-privacy rules and laws against unwanted messages (especially in the European Union) its not possible to add this kind of functionality because it can bring site-owners and software-providers into big problems. Thats why most of the plugins dont allow this kind of functionality by default.
