Different Displays
Quote from onetinyember on July 17, 2024, 11:36 pmHello everyone! My name is Taylor and this is my first time posting here. I’m hoping someone might be able to help…
I’m in the process of preparing my website for launch and recently added a forum. I’m excited to use it and played around with the design to match the colors of my site. However, when I’m logged into my SiteGround account and I pull up my website, I’m seeing the incorrect colors. It’s making me crazy! If I look from an incognito window (I’m on Chrome) or if I use Edge (where I’m not logged in), then it looks great, but if I’m logged in then I get colors that I had tried once and it won’t update to the current settings.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can fix this problem? I know that I’m lucky it’s only impacting my own viewing, but the colors that are stuck mean I’m seeing white text on a pale pink background, so I can’t really see anything on my end. I need to keep pulling up another window and viewing as a “guest” in order to see any changes I’ve implemented to make sure it all looks okay.
Thanks so much!

Thanks for the suggestion @yworld, but unfortunately I’ve tried that multiple times. It’s the strangest thing!

Quote from onetinyember on July 19, 2024, 7:53 pmThank you @yworld! I went through all of my speed optimization settings and I’m not sure what did it, but after adjusting everything to the recommended settings, it’s suddenly fixed. Yay! I appreciate it!

Sometimes, your browser saves old versions of your site. Try clearing your browser cache: In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data. Make sure to select “Cached images and files” and then clear the data.
