Approvals not working

I was testing out the approval process with a user whose WordPress role was “editor” and Forum role was “User”. The status on all of my forus is “Approval”. However, when my user tested the forums he was able to post a new topic without approval. I am an admin and did not receive anything to approve.

What am I missing?

Hi Valerie,

I saw that your question received no comment from the support since 20 months ago… I also found that “approval” is still not working… Is theer any support at all here?

I also find that Approval is not working, at least not as I expect. All my fora have Status set to Approval, and in Settings, the box for “Approval needed for new topics from” is set to “Guests and Normal Users”.

Perhaps the problem is that this setting applies only to New Topics, and not to Replies. I think we need Approval to apply to Replies also.
