Wide and limited access
Quote from TimInBC on May 4, 2021, 1:41 amI have added Forum to my site, and generally it’s open. There will be a Forum page with all the subforums visible. Most will be implemented as subpages – for example the Yankees page would have a subpage that is its Subforum. But what if the BlueJays page wants to limit access to its subforum, or perhaps allow reading but limit posting? That sounds like a case that needs a Usergroup.
When I go to Wordpress settings I see all my users, and some of them have a Forum section in their details. What happens to that if I set up a Usergroup that is tied to a subforum?

If you assign a usergroup to a specific category, then only users of that usergroup can see and access the contents (forums, topics) inside of that category.
