Thanks for reply. I did all steps from this instruction but useless. I have latest WP version.

What is the exact file-name and path of the translation-files?

Have you changed your WordPress language in the Settings -> General?

Hi,

I have an similar issue.

I’ve downloaded the po file from https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/asgaros-forum/stable/fr/default/

But I can’t find a good way to spell my .po and .mo file names, they are not loaded.

They are located in : /wp-content/plugins/asgaros-forum/languages

I’ve tried fr_FR.mo and .mo, asgaros-forum-fr_FR.mo and .po (as the base name of the pot).

My language settings are correct in Settings / General.

Not sure what I am missing.

Thanks !

You may be missing the correct folder to be working with as described on the page linked above: wp-content/languages

But you shouldn’t have to put files there and name them; as I understand you just choose the language and they will be downloaded with the correct names.  But maybe it requires updating to get the language files after you set the language?

Hi Jim, thanks for your input.

You are right, .mo and .po for plugins are inside /wp-content/languages/plugins/ with names like plugin-name-fr_FR.mo

Thanks !
