Quote from valexxy on August 23, 2019, 8:59 pmHai, I have being using your plugin for some days now and I have explored alot of possibilities with it and am super excited with what it offers. Please I am really interested in being able to moderate topic replies, the website I run needs me to be able to checkmate every action to ensure orderliness

Post approval/moderation is not available yet and is planned for a future update. However, you can subscribe to your forum to get notified about new topics and posts in the subscriptions-area.

Quote from j86schroeder on October 22, 2019, 4:48 pmIs this available yet, I like the idea of a guest being able to post a reply. However, I want to be able to approve their reply to a post. I do see the option for their post to be approved when starting a new topic, however not for when they reply to a post.

There was only 1 new minor version of Asgaros since Thomas’ reply on August 24th and it’s not part of the release notes…

Basically it is not difficult to implement the approval of posts itself. The main problem are the database-queries used for different functionalities like unread-status, last-post, etc. While it is easy to find the last post of a forum, its getting more complex when thousands of topics in a forum could contain dozens of unapproved posts and/or topics. This change requires a lot of tests and adjustments to ensure that the performance will not decrease drastically.

Thanks for your response, do you have any alternatives to this? Or another way I can moderate all posts? I don’t think this particular website will have that many posts, so approving all comments, should not be to burdensome. It would be nice where someone can post a reply/comment without the burden of having to register. I can then approve the post ensuring its not spam or something that has nothing to do with this website.

Have you tried to add a captcha for guest-postings to avoid spam-messages? For approving there is currently no fast implementation available without breaking other functionalities of the forum.
