When deleting a User will his posts be lost?

I’m not about to do this  and if I do it wont upset the User, but I need to know if anything he posted, either originally or as a reply, will be removed from the forum.

Hello @nemo

Deleting a user does not delete his posts to ensure that the discussion-structure is not destroyed. However, its possible to assign the posts of a user to another one when deleting him.

That WAS quick.. and thanks

Another related question, can a User be made so he cannot login in, presumably for a set period rather than deleting him?

Hi @nemo

I am using a plugin w3dev Ban Users

Asgaros

Thanks RUsev  That looks like a solution.

I have a question about this:

When I delete a user, the forum topics will indeed still exist under “Verwijderde gebruiker” (deleted user). Is it possible to search for those topics to delete this manualy? So, how can I get an overview of all these topics?

Hello @fanste

The only way to do this would be to create a sql-query which queries all topics which are assigned to a user-id which does not exist anymore in the users-table.
