Watermarked Image Related

Good afternoon everyone,

I wanted to inquire about a feature and see if this would be something that can be done with the Asgaros Forum plugin.

If an administrator or a user uploads an image to our forum is there a way in which I can have an automatic watermarked logo be featured on each image?

Hello jpaul,

to be honest: I dont want to add this functionality to the forum because it brings a lot of problems:

users need to have special image-editing-libraries on their servers enabled
what to do with existing files?
what if files get uploaded and included via the WordPress administration area to your server?
add watermarks during upload or during delivery to the user?
performance
etc

I think this should be something for a plugin besides the forum-system.

I understand how that could develop into a bigger issue.

Would anyone out there happen to know of a plug-in for this feature that they would recommend?

Do you have any information about creating an htaccess file in your uploads directory and adding the GD library?

I also need to know how to activate the Apache module «mod_rewrite», if you know that as well?

I think you have to ask your webhosting provider for this because it depends on if the allows you to do this.
