Update permalink

Hello,

Is-it possible to reset the permalink when the name of the topic change ?

Example her : https://www.saintseiya.fr/forum/topic/champion-red-n2-2021-planches-dark-wing/

Name of the topic : Champion RED n°2 2021 – Découvrez Saint Seiya Meio Iden Dark Wing – Chapitre 1

Hey @webosama80,

you could change the slug manually in your database.

Open the table “wp_forum_topics” and search for the topic that you want to change. Then edit the colum “slug” to your preffered slug.

Thank you! Came here for the same reason. Also to note my issue was with Forums. Once you make a forum it creates the slug but if you change the name you have to edit the table as well to change the new forum structure (slug).

Hey @twdesigns,

that’s why I added the feature request. But it’s basically the same with WordPress Pages. After creation, they will keep the same slug until you change it. And that is also very important because all the external links (including from Google Search) would become invalid every time you change the title of a Topic/Forum/Category.

You are correct which is why I wanted to make sure we were also discussing the ability to change slugs under Structure in case someone names a forum wrong they can correct it before Google starts caching pages. Thanks again! Awesome Forums.
