Umlaut-Filename link changes

Hey guys,
this morning a user showed up and complained about a file, which was uploaded, but not accessible via the link in the post.
I found out, that the file contained an Umlaut, i.e. “ä”. The file itself was uploaded unchanged and also the filename, which was visible in the post, remained correct. Was has changed, was the “ä” in the link to the file (only visible after klicking onto it).

Is this something which can be corrected in the programming?

the original forum is access restricted, but I’ve set up a sandbox forum and created a post showing the error:

…. this time with an “ö” Umlaut…. behaviour is identical.

Funny thing is that it is working on my local development system but it seems broken on my website here too. I will try to have a look into it and can hopefully fix it in the upcoming v1.4.1 release.
