Trying to use "custom post type"

Hello.

Thanks for the forum, it seems like just what I am looking for.

I have set a custom post type because I don’t want my header image on the forum page, that is on the site pages.

I get the forum to show up, but when I make a post, it isn’t saved and I get forwarded to my default index.php page.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Have you verified that this problem only occurs on a custom post type? Does it work without problems on a normal WordPress page?

Yes, it only occurs on a custom post type.

However, I have managed to fix it with an if statement on my front page.

If is forum, don’t show header image.

Yeah, I think I limited the execution of certain code to posts/pages only to ensure that users cannot add the forum-shortcode to other post-types like comments/etc.
