Topics for blog posts?
Quote from Asgaros on January 21, 2018, 2:58 pmHello Rob,
this function basically copies the content of a new blog-post and create a topic with its title/content in the defined forum. This allows site-owners to automatically create a new discussion-topic for their new blog-posts so users can discuss about it.

Quote from Rob on January 21, 2018, 3:21 pmThank you. Nice implementation so that the blog comments can be turned off and force the discussion to happen in the forum instead. I guess there are some cases where you also want the comments, but searching when comments and forum are both turned on then leads to confusion.
I am in process of developing a WP plugin for “idea exchange”. Please see Your Idea Counts! (which will not be free for many reasons, but will be free to active beta testers, non-profit organizations and others who I think will help the plugin). I would be interested to see if there is a way for members who are licensed to use Your Idea Counts! to automatically get a user login to Asgaros so that I can have support forums for the plugin.

I am not sure if I understood you correctly but what you basically can do is the following:
For example you have a category in the forum which is available for the public. In this forums interested users can ask general questions which can help them with their decision if they want to buy the plugin or not.
A second category contains forums which are only accessible for licensed members. So you could create a user group “Licensed Member” and define in the structure-administration, that the second category is only accessible for users of this user group. You can assign users manually to this user group via their backend-profile but there could be also a possibility to create an automatical process for this – based on the plugins which you are using. If you need a custom implementation for this, you can contact me. 🙂
