subscriber unable to post or reply

while admin and editors can post, reply, subscribers are unable to do anything.

what to do to resolve this.

forum setting intact as it was nothing changed, site also new no plugin either to cause trouble.

What exactly do you mean with “they cant do anything”? Do normal users get an error-message? Can they see the buttons for creating topics or posts?

Ensure in the structure-settings that your forums are not closed and that your categories are accessible for everyone. Also ensure that caching is disabled (in plugin or via server-configuration) for the page in which your forum-shortcode is located in.

when user click on reply , mouse blinker(cursor) dont blink in the text field used here to reply. when click on reply in my forum , there is nowhere to write , subsriber cant even click in white text field, see the attached image.

This seems strange because as far as I can see the editor got loaded (you can see the buttons for bold-text, etc). It looks a little bit like a configuration-problem but you say you dont use any other plugins. Which theme are you using currently?

changed theme to other still same effect

If you use Google Chrome as a browser you can try to open the developer tools with CTRL + SHIFT + I. Please check the Console tab and let me know if some JavaScript-errors are shown there.

after a lot of hassle i have found out whats causing the trouble.

The other browser i was using to post is not updated from much long and so i think your rich text format editor dont work with it .

Your forum is working with chrome, forefox new versions fine. but has issue while dealing with old versions of firefox based browser. I was using a browser which was abandoned long ago to be developed.

I hope you can add some compatibility to such cases.

Second– Still in that browser i was able to post before rich format editor was loaded, as soon as the bar with bold, italic format etc was loaded i coudnt do anything , but before it i was able to write and post.

Hope this helps for your development.

i than tried this forum in that browser and result was same. so thats browser related prob.

Hello @rahul

The editor is based on TinyMCE – which is a core component of WordPress and not a functionality which is implemented by Asgaros Forum itself. So unfortunately I cannot change anything at the code of this core-component.

If you found a browser-incompatibility with this WordPress-component you should inform the WordPress developer in their official support-forums so they can fix it in an upcoming update.
