SPAM catching subscription emails

I ran a few tests for a couple dummy accounts. I received email subscriptions to my inbox in my Outlook account. However, the email subscription notification for a new post went to my junk mail folder on my gmail account.

The email in my gmail account came in like this (minus the xxxxxxxx):

from: xxxxxxxxxxxxx<xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.com>via cloud148.hostgator.com
to: xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.com
date: Thu, Jul 12, 2018 at 3:29 PM
subject: New topic: Your Input on Grantee Forum
mailed-by: cloud148.hostgator.com
security:
Standard encryption (TLS) Learn more

I’m guessing it got caught in the spam box because of the “via cloud148.hostgator.com”

How can I get around gmail not thinking this is spam. The email address I have in there is correct and is whitelisted but somehow gmail also picks up the “via cloud148.hostgator.com”

Please help.

Thank you!

Hello @fernandolawl

Asgaros Forum uses the default WordPress mail-function to send notifications. This function itself uses the data which is provided by your php/mail-server configuration. So if you want to get rid off this “via cloud148.hostgator.com” string you have to check your php or mail-server configuration. If you dont have access to it you should contact your webhosting-provider so he can give you additional information on how to change it.

If you want to support the development of Asgaros Forum, you can leave a good review or donate. Thank you very much!

Will do. Thank you so much.
