Sitemap xml

Hi,

I am contacting you because I need to display the forum posts and categories on my xml sitemap. Can you help me do this. I currently use Yoast SEO.

Thank you for the attention you can give to my problem.

That interests me too. YOAST apparently does not index this forum. I tested it in Google Search Console and wanted to index it manually. I got the answer that it doesn’t work because it uses a “noindex” tag. Of course, I don’t know how to solve this.

I will ask YOAST if they can find a solution. I’ll get back to you.

ok, the solution is simple. YOAST sent me this (see screenshot).

Go to the forum page and click on “Edit page”. There you will find the YOAST settings in the WordPress backend. Click on “Advanced” and then allow the search engines to index the page.

I checked it in Google Search Console and now the indexing of the forum works.

Another answer from YOAST. The forum is not listed in the sitemap. Here is the answer from YOAST.

But the important step in Google Search Console is to index the forum index manually.

Here is YOAST’s answer:

___

Customizing the Yoast SEO plugin to fit an individual site’s needs is outside the scope of support due to the required programming expertise. If you have developer experience, we encourage you to explore the Yoast developer portal and learn about tailoring the plugin to your unique needs.

If you’re seeking expert assistance, we recommend using Upwork or a Yoast-certified agency for short-term, recurring, or full-time work on WordPress or Shopify. Yoast has vetted these agencies and can be trusted to provide high-quality services.

@vasilij Here we need to make a separate map file, generated based on the forum functionality.
Perhaps, as soon as I have time to choose, I will try to make it and post it.

@yworld

That would be important. The Asgaros forum has a very nice and ‘clean’ design. It’s a shame that it’s not automatically included in the sitemap. Sorry for being so blunt.

Yes, I know that the forum is completely free – that’s a shame too. I have often donated (including larger amounts) and would be very happy to pay an annual fee for a sitemap function. Emails to the forum operator remain unanswered – tough. Of course, you look for alternatives that you pay for, but that are definitely indexed for SEO. That would be important. @vasilij
I made separate maps for each forum, but I don’t see any way to implement them without changing one forum file. This is not an addition to the forum yet, but a change. Perhaps I will find a solution when I have time.
