Search Option

Hi Asgaros,

I’ve been testing your forum for couple days now. everything works fantastic expect for the search option. when i type something in the search I always get no result found. Can you help me solving this please?

Hello Giuseppe,

which words have you entered into the search field? Please keep in mind that MySQL ignores a couple of words and also have a minimum word-length:

https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/fulltext-stopwords.html

Hi Asgaros, thanks for the response.

I have a category called General Information

within the category i have a test answer. see pict

so if i search for instance “general” i get no result

Does the text of the post contains the word general? In your case the search doesnt show stuff because it is in the category with the word “general” in its name. The search only checks for the word inside the text of a post.

ooooh got it now. I add some silly test like “test” and it s working. thanks for the fast response.
