Search broken
Quote from alex on January 17, 2017, 11:11 amI don’t think I have ever used it so can’t be certain it ever worked for us.
When I enter a search it just jumps back to our default start page rather than searching the forum.
I am using Vantage as the theme.

Must be n your end, I have the most recent update and it works fine on my forum. Maybe Thomas will be able to fix your issue.

Quote from alex on January 17, 2017, 1:29 pmJust the standard Wordpress search widget. I don’t have any additional search plugins.
It would be handy for me to have one search that could look at pages, posts and forum entries as I may have to stop using the forum if users can’t find content from a single search box.

And for my clients they just want one search for all.

Quote from alex on January 17, 2017, 5:00 pmYoast didn’t help as site is intranet.
However, Relevanssi – A Better Search did seem to do the trick. It is picking up words from the Asgaros forum in the standard WP search now. There was an option to index asgarosforum-category which seems to have worked.

Quote from Asgaros on January 17, 2017, 6:38 pmHello alex,
problems like this usually happens because of an incompatibility with one of your other plugins or themes which is hard to fix. For example they are registering some query-vars which are used inside the forum plugin.
I first planned to include the forum search inside the default WordPress search. But it would mix forum posts and normal pages inside the search results. And because you usually have more posts than pages, you normal site content would be unfindable. Thats why I decided to split it.
The search is by the way working for me with the Vantage theme.

Installed Relevanssi – A Better Search with stock WordPress and it doesn’t appear to work anymore. Open to suggestions. Would this be possible if I try to hire a developer to produce some customizations?
