Restrict access

Hello there 🙂

First of all, thank you for your great plugin.

I have a category “Category-1” that contains multiple forum, let’s say “Forum-1”, “Forum-2”, “Forum-3”.

I have 3 users, let’s say “User-1”, “User-2”, “User-3”.

“User-1” should have access to all forums under the “Category-1”, so he should have access to “Forum-1”, “Forum-2”, “Forum-3”.

“User-2” should have access to “Forum-2” only.

“User-3” should have access to “Forum-3” only.

How can I do this? Thank you in advance,

Cedric

@cedric_charles   I think you can only assign user groups to categories, not to forums separately within a category.  So the exact scenario you described may not be possible.  But it should work if you have each forum that you want separately accessed in a separate category:

  1. Go to WP Admin > Forum > User Groups.  Create the 3 user groups.
  2. Go to WP Admin > Users.  Assign each user to the user group that you want.
  3. Go to WP Admin > Forum > Structure.  Create the categories, assign the appropriate user groups to have access, and make the desired forums.
