"Recent Posts" widget now showing links to "Trashed" posts…

Not sure when this happened, but we noticed this AM that our “Recent Posts” widget has been publishing links that are unusual. The links to posts are in the form

The “__trashed” part is new. And of course, the discussion posts that should be being references are still available…not in trash but in their normal place.

Has anyone heard of this happening? (Apparently the “Recent Topics” widget is behaving similarly as well.)

We have not upgraded to WP 5.0 as yet, but have been keeping plugins up-to-date.

Hello @gefitz

Please check the forum-location in Forum -> Settings. I guess it refers to an old forum-page which you have deleted. As soon as you link to the correct one this problem should be fixed.

And thanks…you are correct. The “Post-Expirator” plug-in was not set to keep it’s hands off that page and expired it!
