Paste Images from the Clipboard?

Hey guys,

I hope you can help me with this question, I could not find yet an answer here to this problem.

Is there a slim way to paste pictures from the clipboard into Forum Posts? I know you can upload the media on your Wordpress File and then paste the link.

But we will be hosting a stock market related forum which will involve a lot of pictures, it would be really nice to have a similiar functionality like in MS Word (or something else…) if that is possible.

Hello @max_b

Asgaros Forum uses the editor-implementation which is included in WordPress. As far as I know it doesnt support automatically uploads for including files from the clipboard. If you want to have this functionality you have to check the WordPress plugin-repository for this. Maybe there is a plugin available which adds this functionality to the WordPress editor.

Thank you for your answer. I tried ImageElevator and with a regular post, that works well to paste pictures from the clipboard. However it doesn’t work in a thread in my Asgaros Forum. Do you have any idea? I attached you a picture of my regular editor, there you can see the plugin.

I think this depends on how the plugin works. Maybe it is only compatible with WordPress posts/pages – but I am not sure because I dont know the plugin. Basically if it works for normal pages, it should work for forum-topics as well because the normal WordPress editor is used in Asgaros Forum.

You can try to contact the plugin-developer. Maybe there is a special configuration required when the plugin-functionality should also be available from the front-end.
