Page Reloads To Top
Quote from MaggieNoFrowns on April 14, 2020, 7:42 pmI have a forum embedded at the bottom of a page that is built with Divi. Anytime you click on the forum – to look at a topic or respond to a question, the page reloads and sends you to the top of the page and the user has to scroll all the way down again.
Any ideas on how to keep this from happening?
Thanks!

This is a bit tricky because the forum is inteded to be used on the page as a standalone-functionality which can be accessed like any other content on the website. Is there a purpose why the forum is placed at the very bottom of the page or are parts of the websites design just so big that the forum seems to be far away from the top?

Yes – the forum is on a page with educational content and is being used to drive discussion about what people are learning on the rest of the page. It would not make sense to be at the top of the page and I suspect that we’d have substantially less engagement if it were on a page by itself.
Any ideas on how to manage the reload to top of page issue?

One way to prevent this would be the usage of anchor-links, for example: my-site.com/your-page#forum-section
But this means that the link-generation logic for all possible links in the forum must get modified by a developer because there is no simple option for this available yet.
