Open link in a new tab

Hello everybody,
if a user posts a link, it should open in a new tab.
Is there a setting or a code that the checkmark “Open link in a new tab” is set by default.

Sadly there is no configuration-possibility available yet for the WordPress core which allows you to check this box by default. But you can have a look into the following topic which includes some ideas (possible plugin, code-snippet) to implement this for all external links on your website:
