One forum topic inserted into a WP/Elementor page block?

I can’t see how to do this, but I’d like to insert the latest posts of one sub-forum topic onto a Wordpress page created with Elementor? Can this be done and how? I am not seeing where to collect forum and sub-forum information to place into a page block. Thanks!

I am not exactly sure if you are looking for this, but with shortcode-parameters you can display the contents of a specific topic only inside a page. You can read more about it here:

That would be exactly what I am looking for, thanks! I’m not sure I have the syntax correct though:

[forum forum="12"] gives me not just the subforum, but all forums. 12 is the subforum I want to show.

And now when I go back to the topic, the codes don’t show so I can check them. Strange (see attached). They showed the first time I loaded it.

Sorry, I made some changes to the development-version which is running at this support-website and it broke some rendering. I just fixed it and the other linked topic should look fine again.

Please double-check if you used the correct subforum-ID inside the shortcode-parameter. Also ensure that the page which contains your shortcode is not cached because otherwise your changes will not get applied immediately.
