Notifications ON after authorising for a usergroup
Quote from Changes on March 4, 2020, 11:00 amHey Thomas.
Again I want to make compliments of your work!
I found out, that the lack of enthusiasm by quite a lot of members is caused by the fact that they didn’t discover the possibility to use subscriptions. This despite of trying to support them en lead them in the right direction.
So I wonder: Is it possible for me as an admin to arange that a user receives notifications when I make that person a member of a group?
Regards Rob

Currently there is no option for this available because in that case the plugin would be not GDPR-compliant anymore. Based on laws in certain countries notifications are only allowed to get send to users if they explicitly agree to it. I will check if there are some other ways for it in the future.

I very much appreciate your work en support you fully in your ambitions to take privacy legislation into account as much as possible. However, I donot agree at this point
It is the controler Definitions (Art 4.7) that has to be compliant. The plugin should enable him/her to be.
So it is also the controlers responsibility to take care that the processing is done according to the Principles relating to processing of personal data (Art 5), Lawfulness of processing (Art 6) and Conditions for consent (Art 7).

Thanks for your clarification. I will check if I can add additional configuration-possibilities to improve the functionality. 🙂
