Notifications for activities (e.g. bell)

Hello,

I would like to build a forum with WordPress. Was previously with WoltLab and have now switched. I would like to receive notifications for activities, for example when someone has liked a post or when someone has posted a post in the theme, so for example the theme creator or all who have subscribed to the theme should receive a notification.

With WoltLab or other forum software you know this with a notification bell, this is especially good if you want more activity in the community. Because the people would not be so active if they are not informed about it, as soon as in the topic a new contribution was posted. Because if the member receives a notification that a new post was posted in the topic then he possibly interacts and then posts something again or likes it….

That’s why I wanted to know how I can set this up.

Hello,

I don’t want email notifications, it makes more sense in my eyes if you do it with a notification bell directly on the page as mentioned. So the user gets a notification directly as soon as a new post is posted in his subscribed topic.

See my attached screenshot as an example. This is how I know it from WPForo or other forum softwares like XenForo and WoltLab. Asgaros currently convinces me of all plugins & softwares the most, only missing the one with the bell so far.

Totally would love to see this as well and did not come up with a solution yet.
