New User Sign-Up Issue, Need Help
Quote from lester11 on January 4, 2018, 1:23 amGood evening!
Love the WordPress plugin, I have successfully added it to my sports website as you can see here from this link.
https://coverthespread365.com/sports-betting-forum/
But after setting it up, every time a new user looks to login it goes to the WP login, but then it sends an email to the Admin to accept the new user. I noticed when signing up for yours, it auto let me create everything and immediately post to the forum. Is their something in the settings I’m overlooking?
Ideally I’m trying to create a forum signup like the attached link. Is there anyway we could create something to mimic this or will it always go to the WP login?

Really look forward to using this plugin and definitely throw some donation your way! It’s exactly like the competition!
Thank you,
Lester

Yes, this should be the default behavior. I assume that some other extension is modifying this login/register behavior so you should check out their settings.

There are also WordPress extensions for this which allows you to create a login/register page inside your frontend instead of the WP Login area (which is the default behavior). I cant give you a suggestion because I dont any of those for my websites. The best is to have a look in the official plugin directory. 🙂

Thank you for the help! I’m now able to have them create a login and now be able to successfully sign in right away.
Now the new issue, I’m having is I don’t have the user profile page like you do when a user signs in to be able to change their avatar and settings. Is their something in the settings I need to enable to have the exact same set up like you do? I noticed when I reset my password it would take me to the backend for my account on your forum.
My forum is https://coverthespread365.com/sports-betting-forum/
If you would like to try and create a login and see the issue.
Any help would be huge.
Thank you,
Andrew

Users have to go to the backend in general to change their avatars and settigs. Its the same on this website. I am not exactly sure whats the point. Do you want to have those settings available in your front-end-profile?

Quote from Asgaros on January 8, 2018, 9:05 pmNo, there is no front-end editing available at the moment. You can read about the reasons in this topic. But I think I will add a button to the back-end to the profile-view so its more easier for users to access it.
Edit: I just added it to the dev-version.

Quote from Asgaros on January 9, 2018, 10:36 pmI think some of the WordPress plugins which adds smileys to the TinyMCE-editor should also work with the forum, e.g.:
