New topic stays new topic

People on my forum complaining that readed topic still be showing as a new topic. The only way the chance it is to replay on it or to click on “read all new message” link.

Is there a way the fix the problem?

Hey Linksquest,

does this happen for every user or just for some? For logged-in users a database-field is updated when visiting an unread-topic. On this site it is working as well for me. Could it be a problem with a caching-plugin or another third-party plugin which you are using?

Every user has the problem, caching-plugin even disabled a couple of times.
