New post textarea now white on white

Hi,

Our new post textarea box is entering text white on white – so unreadable except if highlighted. Once the post is made, all is ok and text shows dark on white.

We are running WordPress 5.2.4

Usually those kind of issues are caused by wrong frontend style-settings of your theme. Can you provide a link to your forum with activated guest-postings so I can have a look into the editor?

Hello @petero1

It seems that on your website the entire TinyMCE editor is not loading. This is a default-component of WordPress so you have to figure out which component is causing this issue. I suggest you to disable other plugins one by one for testing purposes until the editor appears again.

I believe the problem is created here: css/editor-rtl.css

With this line

.js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area

color: #32373c;

Which is defaulting to white (it is auto generated)

I do not know how to reinstall TinyMCE in wordpress as it is, as you say, a wordpress basic component

I also have the same problem since last update (as before everything was fine)… Everything works except for the text area box…

I have attached a picture of the problem..

Using Avada theme but as previously mentioned, everything was fine before the last update…

Sorry but I do have another problem with font colour..

Have a look at the post title in the picture.. I tried to change every Avada font colour available but no luck…

In your case it is not a css issue. The entire TinyMCE-editor is missing in your forum. Have you tried to disable other plugins to get it back?
