I found this : “Hide user group: Hidden usergroups will not be displayed inside the frontend. This option is perfect for internal user management.”
Can someone please explain what it s mean ? front end ? witch one ? I m sorry .. I m so confused ! lol
I tried to apply this in localhost but I didnt detect any changement …
Thank you by advance !

When usergroups are hidden it basically means that only administrators can see them in the WordPress user-overview and in the WordPress profiles of the users which are assigned to those groups. Usergroups which are not hidden can also be seen by everyone in the normal forum. For example you can see next to your post that you are in a “Supporter” usergroup. This usergroup is also shown in your forum-profile. If this usergroup would be a hidden one, this piece of information would not be there.

Quote from Heirema on October 4, 2018, 11:55 amThank you Thomas, it’s much clearer with your explanations. And I’m sure other users may need this answer …
On the fundamental of the thing, I thought that the crossing of rights between, on the one hand, the roles (normal user, moderator and administrator) and on the other hand the users groups made possible to face all the situations and needs . Now, I suppose that if you worked to produce this option it is because there is a real need.
Thank you for everything anyway!

Quote from Asgaros on October 5, 2018, 8:49 amYes, the main need is that some users want to categorize certain users without letting them know. Imagine you have a couple of annoying members writing “insulting posts” so you consider to ban them if they continue doing so. One way would be to put them into a “Warned Users” group so it helps you as an administrator to manage those users more easily.
It can also be used to organize your users based on your internal (corporate) structure without leaking this kind of information to the public.

It’s even more clear now !
Being buzy with an association of very polite members,I forgot to think about the forums having to deal with trolls and others “users to be warned” 🙂
Right for the last point to talked about … I ll be interested soon I guess.
