message editor – gutenberg – Support

Any thoughts you would like to share with us on how gutenberg will impact on the forum message editor.

I understand gutenberg will eventually replace the current standard WP editor which is what i think you are using.

I’m not very impressed with my recent brief exposure to gutenberg.

I dont plan to use the Gutenberg editor in Asgaros Forum because in my oppinion its not intuitive enough to use for a forum plugin.

If one day the current editor will not be available anymore (I dont think this will be the case because WordPress always ensures backward-compatibility) I will switch to an editor similar to the current one for sure.

Hallo,

after one of the updates, the editor menu dissapeared….

I can only type aswers in pure text (html) – please see the screenshot attached,

Is this releated to the Wordpress 5.x. & Gutenberg?

Hello @magic-mike

It seems that you are using some kind of script minifier extension which combines all the JavaScript files in an incorrect way. Please try to disable the extension which is doing this.
