Members List visible to everyone
Quote from trevortymchuk on November 8, 2019, 8:42 amHi there!
I just set up Asgaros Forum on a staging site and really love it, after trying a few other forum plugins. I need to set up several discussion forums that are private, for registered users only. I’ve set up two different usergroups and forums, and they work well and are hidden from each other. But, when you click on Members, you see a list of all site members, not just a list of the members of that forum’s usergroup. Have I missed a setting somewhere? Or do I just have to disable the Members listing?
Thank you!

Quote from Burt on November 9, 2019, 4:04 amI don’t think you have missed anything. Just because you see the member list, it doesn’t show you the actual hidden posts or hidden forums. So it is worked as intended. Plus, if you are using other plugins like Userpro, I notice they can also see the list of member there..
If you need to hide the member list, you will need to disable it..

The members-list is not filtered based on your own usergroup. It always show all members of your community. However, there is a filter-functionality in the memberslist which you can use to see the users of a certain group only.
You can check out this forum for an example:

But, may I disable the “All users” toggle, just to avoid showing anybody the whole community?
As I use this forum on my productive website there are visible all the authors and administrators, also.Work-around would beto set up a subdomain and install a fresh database with only users for the forum.

I will take your suggestion into consideration. A workaround could be theĀ “Show members list to logged-in users only” option so that at least guests cannot see every user on your website.
