Log in Page

Hi there,

I hope anybody can help me (I already searched but didn´t found what I´m looking for). I would like a separately log-in page at the beginning. No register, just log-in (the forum should not be visible before logging in. Just for users I create). So when you click in the menu on FORUM you should come to a login-page/form and after the access to the forum. Is this possible and can anybody give me a hint or a link to an already existing topic (which I didn´t found)?

Hey @joergfischer11,

what about just hiding the forum in the settings? So every user that is not logged in would just see the forum like in the screenshot.

If you really want to show a separate login in page I would advise you to use Ultimate Member. There it’s possible to create a login page. Just restrict the access of the forum page to only logged in users and redirect them to your login page, this functions are all part of Ultimate Member.

Hi @qualmy91, I tried it with the settings, but the forum is still visible for not registered user (just with the comment that you should log in). Do you know how I can fix that and it is like your first screenshot (I attached a screenshot).

Hey Jörg,

sorry for the misunderstanding.

The screenshot that I added to my post shows a single topic. So everyone will be able to see the forums and the topics, but they can’t open and read the posts of a topic.

I would advise you to set up Ultimate Member like I described before. So you would also be able to create a login page.

ah ok, vielen Dank für die Antwort. Dann werde ich es mit dem Plugin (https://ultimatemember.com) machen. Ist dieses dann gekoppelt mit Asgaros bzw. ist man dann automatisch im Forum angemeldet wenn man sich bei der LoginSeite einlogt oder muss man dies dann nochmal machen?

Ja, wenn du dich mit Ultimate Memebr in WordPress anmeldest bist du automatisch auch im Forum angemeldet. Wenn du im Forum auch die Links auf Ultimate Member anpassen willst (z.B. die URL um das Profil anzupassen), kannst du das mit meinem Plugin “Toolbox for Asgaros Forum” einfach einstellen.
