Issue with spam control, please answer ASAP.
Quote from rwlazlo on January 30, 2019, 2:21 amWe need ability to control replies to topics. Currently we can control all new topics through admin approval, but we can not control who replies to any topic as all replies are posted and made visible by default. This allows spammers to register for the forum and spam us with replies.
So controlling who creates new topics is great, but is there the same level of control for replies.
In kunena forum where we are transferring from, we are bale to set limit of number of posts/replies a new user will make with admin approval before they can freely create new topics and replies, this way we avoid 100% od spam.
Please advise of our options.

Post approval is not available yet. As an alternative I also suggest you to use a captcha which makes things harder for bots.
Here is an alternative if you dont want to use Googles ReCaptcha (but it needs one or two small changes to make it also work for logged-in users):

Quote from rwlazlo on February 1, 2019, 2:12 pmMy concern is not bots as much as old fashion spammers.
Realistically speaking, will you implement this as a basic feature? This is pretty standard among other plugins like this, also very important. I rather not switch plugins but this is a deal breaker to be honest.
Kindly advise.

Quote from Asgaros on February 1, 2019, 2:40 pm@rwlazlo Post approval is planned for a future release (the topic approval-function which came in the last update was the foundation). But I cannot give you an exact time yet on when it will become available because it requires a lot of under-the-hood changes.

Quote from rwlazlo on February 1, 2019, 4:17 pm@Asgaros can you consider this functionality we and others found very very convenient:
Option to specify how many times registered user will post new topic and/or reply with approval required before automatically become a member without moderating approval needed?
This in our experience caught 99.9% of non-bot spammers when we set that number at 2, with third comment or topic allowing them to freely post or reply without approval.

Yes, I plan to add this kind of approval-options in a future release. I assume that it will come first for topics because post-approval still will take a while until it becomes available.
