Is there a way to control how long users stay logged in?

After a period of no activity, our users are automatically logged out, and they must log back in to use the forum again. Is there a way to keep them logged in (if they want to) to save them this step?

Seen this, not sure if this is the answer you are looking for. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-persistent-login/ I know nothing about it or never used it.
