Inline images disappear when editing post

Hello!

I absolutely love Asgaros Forum and have implemented it on a website that uses the Astra theme, along with the Asgaros Toolbox. It works perfectly.

I recently created another website that I would like to put a Forum on. The new website uses Spectra One theme, which is a block theme. I now have the following problem (I have also tried the Twenty Twenty-Four theme and the problem is there too. So it appears to be manifesting with block themes):

I am using the Asgaros Toolbox to insert inline images.

I can add an inline image to a post and that is fine (1_Unedited_Post.jpg), see also this link:

If I edit the post, on the edit screen the image is replaced by two quote marks (2_EditingPostFirstTime_ImageReplacedByTwoQuotes.jpg).
After the first edit, the post still looks fine (3_PostAfterFirstEdit.jpg), see also this link:
https://southafricancollectorssociety.com/forum/topic/image-testing-this-post-has-been-edited-once

If I edit the post a second time, on the edit screen the image is replaced by four quote marks (4_EditingPostSecondTime_ImageReplacedByFourQuotes.jpg).
After the second edit, the image has disappeared from the post (5_PostAfterSecondEdit.jpg), see also this link:

Images are very important to this website, so if you have any idea at all as to how I could resolve this problem I would be eternally grateful.

With many thanks.
Andrea.

EDIT: The links above work perfectly on my PC but for some reason they don’t work on my husband’s – no idea why!

Hello Andrea,

Unfortunately that happens to me too.

Maybe @qualmy91 has a solution for that.

If I don’t want to burden my web space with images and want to be sure that they continue to be displayed, I use an image service like Picr.

Nur ein Biker weiß, warum ein Hund seinen Kopf aus einem Autofenster steckt.
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks its head out a car window.

Thanks Biker.

It doesn’t look as though @qualmy91 is developing the Toolbox anymore, also I’m not sure if it is a Toolbox problem or an Asgaros problem, as it happens when you edit a post even if you don’t touch the image during the editing.

The problem with using an image service is that most of our users are not very technical and the process has to be as simple as possible. The inline image function in the Toolbox is ideal.

Yes, @qualmy91 is the developer.
