I can't log in no matter what
Quote from DKW on November 18, 2018, 5:06 pmHello. Your plug-in looks great, but I don’t seem to be able to use it. No matter what I do, it says “You need to log in to create posts and topics.” But I am logged in. If I click the Login link, it takes me to my account profile page. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in, running it just after a fresh install. I tried adding user groups. I’ve tried both FireFox and Chrome.
It’s NOT a caching problem. If I change forum content through the Admin interface, I see the changed content when I refresh the screen, but still get the “need to log in” message.
My Wordpress instance is set up to support multiple sites. Is your plug-in compatible with that? I’m only using a few other plug-ins, all of which are essential to running my sites:
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
iThemes Security
PHP Code Snippets (Insert PHP)
Simply Exclude
WordPress MU Domain MappingAny ideas? Thanks,
David

Yes, Asgaros Forum is compatible with multi-site installations.
You say that the login-message and a login-link is shown in the frontend. This and the fact that you are logged-in in the backend means that something prevents the official WordPress-function is_user_logged_in() – which is used by the forum to determine the login-status – from returning the correct value inside the frontend.
Please verify first that this issue is not caused by your other plugins (maybe security-plugins) because such a behavior is not normal.
