How to make forums where only people in a specific group can make topics?

As the title says. I am making a homepage for my guild in a game. What I want is to make a Forum for it where there will be a news tap. In that tap only Admins can make topics. Members will still be able to read but they cant chat

How do I make that?

Hello @liccao

Just go to the structure-administration, edit your forum and set it to “Closed”. In this case only administrators/moderators can create new topics inside it while normal users can still read and answer in it as long as the topic is not closed as well.
