Help, update failed and I now can't use the forum
Quote from Ruth77 on March 16, 2023, 3:18 pmI just tried to install an update to Asgaros, to update from version 2.1 to 2.4.1 (I only install updates periodically).
The update failed with a message that the old version of the plugin couldn’t be removed.
Unfortunately it seems as though the old version has been partly removed, as my home page now just shows the [forum] shortcode rather than the forum itself. I tried restoring all plugins from the backup I’d taken immediately before starting the update, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to have resolved the problem, as I can still only see the shortcode rather than the forum itself.
Any ideas on how to resolve this and get the forum back up and running would be very gratefully received.
Many thanks

Sounds for me like a file-system permission issue. If you have FTP-access to the server, you could download the .zip file directly from the WordPress plugin-repository and upload/replace the files manually in /wp-content/plugins/asgaros-forum.
